North to South Vietnam tour itineraries in 9 days
The tour normally starts from Hanoi as biggest international airport located there. A half or 1 day Hanoi city tour is enough then travelers can continue to these destinations:
– Halong Bay (180 KM from Hanoi): Tours to Halong Bay can be 1, 2 or 3 days with daily or overnight trips
– Ninh Binh (100 KM from Hanoi): Famous with Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Bich Dong, Van Long Lagoon, Trang An Nature reserves. 1 or 2 day trip to Ninh Binh is fine
– Sapa (350 KM) from Hanoi: Travelers can travel to Sapa by night trains, which depart from Hanoi every evening or by car/ bus.
– Mai Chau (180 KM) from Hanoi: 1 or 2 days to Mai Chau is fine.
Then, the next part of the country is the Central with Hue, Da Nang and Hoian, travelers can a 1-hour flight to either Hue or Da Nang.
– Hue: The ancient Citadel with famous Perfume River, Forbidden City. Travelers can visit the city in 1 day
– Da Nang – Hoian: The two cities are famous with beaches and resorts, 2 or 3 days at the area are fine
The next part is Ho Chi Minh City and the South area
– Ho Chi Minh City – Saigon: Biggest city in Vietnam with nearby Cu Chi Tunnel, Cao Dai Holy See
