Dalat Flower Festival 2024 will be held in November and December

On your trip to Dalat in November or December, you will have a chance to participate in the Da Lat Flower Festival- which only takes place biennially. 1. Pistachio – Butterfly wing flower (Hoa Pang Xe)

This kind of flower has its other name as Pansy, which means the face of an angel. Pistachio has a variety of lovely colors. Each bloom looks like a fantastic butterfly hovering over branches. Pistachio also symbolizes love, faithful heart, curiosity, and charm.

“Hoa Pang Xe” is often raised for decoration in houses or cafes because it is small and easy to grow. You can see this beautiful flower at any coffee shop in Da Lat. 3. Dandelion (Bo Cong Anh)

5. Cherry (Mai Anh Dao)

Da Lat’s Cherry is called Sakura in Japanese and prefers cold climates. It can be said that Mai Anh Dao cherry blossom is the “specialty” of the Da Lat city in the spring. “Mai Anh Dao” is grown everywhere in Da Lat, but Cherry concentration shows up most on the dreamy roads of Hung Vuong, Pho Duc Chinh, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh or Truc Lam Monastery. The pink color of this flower has stirred amazement and passion for many travelers.

You can witness this marvelous flower by going through the mountain roads, outside the suburbs. Sometimes you will encounter Mimosa in the flower gardens or at the fences of the houses.

Mimosa often hatches in dry and cold weather, so the best time to entirely admire this flower is in mid-November. Mimosa blooms for such a long time, usually in Winter and when Spring comes.

7. Da Lat Rose

If roses are your favorite flowers, then you should go to popular flower villages in Da Lat like Thai Phien flower village, Ha Dong flower village,… to inhale the sweet scent of roses. Above all, Van Thanh flower village is the best place to see roses. This is the oldest flower village and it grows a variety of colorful roses. You can also buy a bundle of Da Lat roses as a gift from Vietnam.

On your trip to Da Lat, you should not miss the hydrangea garden. It is Xuan Tho commune which is located in the eastern part of Da Lat City. This 2-hectare garden is a relatively new attraction in the city of thousands of flowers. From the city center, along Highway 20 towards Trai Mat, then passing Trai Mat station about 500 m, you will see a guide to the hydrangeas field on the left.

This field is located in Da Lat Milk dairy farm in Tu Tra commune, Don Duong, Lam Dong Province.

      I have been informed that the Da Lat Flower Festival is scheduled to take place over 5 days, from December 23rd to December 27th, 2024 in Da Lat City, Bao Loc City, and some surrounding areas in central Vietnam.

      Currently, there is no official announcement regarding the schedule of this festival. When there is official information, I will respond to you immediately.

      If you are interested in similar large festivals in Vietnam, I suggest some festivals that will be held in Vietnam this year:

      Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 – every Saturday from June 8th to July 13th.
      – Hue Festival 2024 – taking place throughout the year with typical events such as Ao Dai Week, International Lantern Festival, International Music Week, and a year-end countdown program.
