Best Time to Visit Danang and Hoian
The temperature of Da Nang and Hoi An is influenced by the transition between North and South of Vietnam. It is divided into 2 seasons: dry season and rainy season. While the dry season begins from December to August, the rainy season is from September to November. In addition, the climate of Da Nang and Hoi An is also influenced by the monsoon in North Vietnam in winter.
We advise you to travel in 5 days to Da Nang and Hoi An in the dry season. Because it does not rain much and is dry. Transportation for 5 Days in Danang and Hoinn
1. By bus and minibus
It is most often a 40-45 seat bus, sometimes a 12-15 seat minibus. Banknotes can be paid either in dollars or in dongs.
2. By public bus
- Bus station: 33, Dien Bien Phu (384-32-59). 3 km from the center, on the road to Hue
- Bus to Hue (101km), Tam Ky (69 km), Tra My, Nha Trang, Pleiku, Ban Me Thuot, Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi
- For Hoi An: since the 29th, Dien Bien Phu. Bus every 30 mins, 5:30 am-6pm. Distance: 35 km
3. By taxi or car with driver
The journey from Da Nang to Hoi An costs around 9 Euro. Add around 1.05 Euro for a stop on the way to Marble Mountains. This is the same as if we made a round trip by taxi from Da Nang
4. By train
– Railway station (plan A2): 202, Hai Phong, ticket offices open 4 am-5pm. Usually one of the tellers speaks some English. The timetables are posted outside and inside the station. The fastest trains are SE3 to SE5 and SE7. The odd numbers go south, the peers go north. The trains identified by TN (TN 1, TN 3, etc.) are cheaper but clearly quick.
– For Hue: 5 trains / day, between 6:38 am and 11:12 pm. The trip lasts 2h30-3h35 depending on the speed of the train. The fastest is the SE4 which leaves around 2:30 p.m. Price: around 50,000 VND depending on whether you choose a hard or soft seat.
– For Hanoi: it’s the same line as Hue. The SE4, the fastest, leaves Da nang around 2:30 p.m. and arrives in Hanoi around 5 a.m. the next morning. SE2 arrives at 4 a.m. Otherwise there is SE6, which circulates mainly during the day.
– For Ho Chi Minh – City (Sai Gon): 5 trains / day, screw Nh8-21h41. The fastest is SE3 which arrives at Sai Gon around 5am. Duration: just over 15h. No rail journey is made entirely by day or by night.
5. By plane
