2013 Sa pa in the cloud festival to open in late april

The 2013 Sa Pa in the Cloud Festival will take place from April 26 to May 5, according to the district People’s Committee. On this occasion, the decision recognizing Sa Pa as a class four town will be announced. Sa Pa will coordinate with some agencies of Lao Cai Province and travel businesses to put on cultural and sporting activities such as displaying flowers and ornamental plants at Van Hoa park on April 26, the “Sa Pa Colour” art photo exhibition of Sa Pa photographers on April 27, folk cultural festive days at Ham Rong tourist site on April 30, Cat Cat village culture festival on April 28, and Mong ethnic pan-pipe competition on April 28. This year’s Southern Liberation and International Labour Day holiday is expected to bring a large number of tourists to Sa Pa. The district asked relevant agencies to ensure security and food hygiene and safety.
