Paradise Travel introduces a new tour namely Explore Mekong Rivers in Depth to discover almost all parts of Mekong Delta. The tour to not only floating markets in Cai Be or Can Tho but also to other destinations of the Mekong rivers in Vietnam which have not been much reached by travelers, all in 9 days.
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Airport, our tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to hotel for checking in and relax. Your evening shall be for amazing Bui Vien walking street or Ben Thanh night market.
Overnight in Saigon
After breakfast, we pick you up at your hotel and start the tour to visit Cao Dai Temple (in Tay Ninh).
The Great Holy See Temple, built in 1926, is considered one of the most striking structures in all of South-East Asia. It is the headquarters of the unique Cao Dai sect, a religion with a hybrid of Buddhism, Christianity & Confucianism. Above the entrance is the all-seeing holy eye – symbol of the sect. Visitors will attend the midday ceremony’s extravaganza to witness the Daily Mass held by the Cao Dai followers which is a fantastic experience.
Have lunch at a restaurant and proceed to Cu Chi Tunnels to explore the amazing network of over 200km of underground tunnels.
Return to HCM City, going around Reunification Palace before dinner.
Overnight in Saigon
AM: Our car and tour guide will pick up at your hotel around 08.00AM, drive on Asian Highway No. 1A, pass Go Den, Ben Luc, Tan An (Long An province), a province that is famous for intangible cultural heritage of humanity “don ca tai tu” (a genre of instrumental and vocal traditional music in southern Vietnam), Long An province is also home to ancient Oc Eo culture, which formed and developed in the Mekong River delta from the first to sixth century, with about 20 prehistoric sites and nearly 100 Oc Eo cultural sites excavated and 12,000 individual artifacts found.
Arrive in My Tho (Tien Giang Province), have a short relax then we head to Chau Doc, we drive over My Thuan cable-stayed bridge to Sa Dec (Dong Thap province), here we can try “Nem Vung Lai” & Sa Giang Shrimp Chip.
After a short ferry, we come to Long Xuyen (An Giang province), continue to Chau Doc for checking in the hotel and have lunch.
PM: Visit Tra Su cajuput forest which is renowned for not only its almost-untouched natural beauty but also its sanctuary of flora and fauna. Taking a boat trip into the forest and harmonizing oneself with nature. The impressive pictures of cajuputs, the fragrance of flowers and the music-like noise of birds, insects and animals will definitely make travelers do not want to leave. From the observation post, the forest can be seen with an area of nearly 900 ha, home of many birds and animals, including some rare ones
Overnight in An Giang
After breakfast, we leave Chau Doc to Ha Tien (Kien Giang province), visit the biggest market at border with Cambodia, check in hotel on arrival.
PM: visit Mui Nai Beach, we can swim or have coffee to view the beauty of landscape, then we continue to climb up Binh San Mountain, visit Mac Cuu tomb, the founder of the land of Ha Tien, visit Thach Dong Thon Van, Loc Chi Thon Cu, etc.
Overnight in Ha Tien
After breakfast, check out, we drive to Hon Chong, visit Hang Pagoda, Phu Tu islet. Continue to Rach Gia (Kien Giang)
After lunch, we drive to Rach Soi, follow Highway 63, and head to Ca Mau City (Ca Mau province), check in hotel. Discover the city at night yourselves
Overnight in Ca Mau
Morning, check out, depart early to Nam Can take canoe through Cua Lon, Ong Trang, Rach Tau, visitors set foot on the South Pole of the country, overlooking Ca Mau, the second largest mangrove forest in the world.
PM: Leave Ca Mau to Bac Lieu City (Bac Lieu Province)
Check in hotel and relax. Overnight in Bac Lieu
After breakfast, we visit the house of Bac Lieu Dandy (now Bac Lieu Hotel). Visit Xiem Can Pagoda, the biggest pagoda of the Khmer community and the most splendid pagoda in the South, then the Buddha Temple Ba Nam Hai next to the beach and visit the grave of Cao Van Lau – a talented musician, who made the land of Bac Lieu with the “Dạ cổ hoài lang” – the song of the king of the old tone.
PM: Drive to Soc Trang, on the way we visit Chen Kieu Pagoda, a Khmer-styled pagoda in the Mekong Delta. Arrive in Soc Trang we visit Doi Pagoda, Clay Pagoda.
Continue to Can Tho, check in hotel for relax
Overnight in Can Tho
AM: early morning, we take a boat tour to visit the bustling Cai Rang floating market and cruise through the intricate network of small channels to a village specializing in making rice noodles
On the way driving back to Saigon, we visit the Southern Truc Lam Monastery – the largest and most beautiful monastery in the region
Overnight in Saigon
Have breakfast and have some visits or shopping if time permits then transferred to the airport for your on-going flight.
