This tour is specially designed for travelers who want to explore the northeast of Vietnam from Hanoi. Ba Be Lake and Ban Gioc waterfall are eco-destinations where visitors can enjoy the sightseeing as well as volunteer to protect the environment.

 

Tour Highlights

  • Ba Be: the largest natural lake in Vietnam and the heart of Ba Be National Park. The park and the surrounding area is a limestone country which is surrounded by lakes, waterfalls, caves and unusual rock formations. The whole area is richly forested and is home to many ethnic minority communities. Ba Be National Park has been recognized as a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
  • Ban Gioc Waterfall: Located on the border of Vietnam – China, Ban Gioc is the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam. It is also a world’s 4th largest waterfall with a half in Vietnam and the other half in China.

We will meet our tour guide and driver at 7:00 am at the lobby of the hotel in Hanoi, then depart for Bac Kan province where we take a boat trip to explore the beauty of Ba Be Lake. It takes us a morning to drive and we have lunch on the way to Ba Be. We will have a boat trip along Nang river, stop to visit Dau Dang waterfall, starting from Nang river and fall down to the valley, Puong cave, Fairy Pond and An Ma Temple. Then take a short trek to Pac Ngoi village, home of Tay ethnic minority people. Overnight at homestay.

Ban Gioc Waterfall

After breakfast with the host, we depart for Cao Bang province to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall which is a world’s 4th largest waterfall with a half in Vietnam and the other half in China. That is the place many people wish to come! Standing in the waterfall area, we will feel the fresh, cool and very pleasant water generated by tiny drops. Take some great photos with Ban Gioc waterfall before lunch.

On the way turn back Cao Bang town, we will stop at Nguom Ngao cave. This is a long cave (about 800 m) with a river inside, in flooding season, sometimes people cannot visit it because of the high water level. Then our car and drive transfer you to hotel in Cao Bang city for staying overnight. Farewell dinner tonight!

Breakfast & Lunch

Today, you will have a whole day drive back to Hanoi with stops for coffee and lunch on the way. Arrive in Hanoi at about 4 PM. Trip ends!

Cancellation by Customer

  • Cancellation received less than 3 days prior arrival date or during tour or No-Show: 20% of total package tour charged + Used services (if any) + Cancellation fees charged by airlines, hotels… (if any)

Children Policy

  • Free of charge for child under 5 years accompany with 1 full paying client, sharing room and food with parents. He/ she shall pay for air tickets (if any) and/ or incurred expenses
  • 75% charged for child from 5 – under 11 years accompany with 1 full paying clients, using services as an adult
  • Child age of 11 years up is subject to adult rate

Me and my wife had just returned from a two weeks tour in Vietnam. This was a private tour where we made the program and hired the services of "Paradise Travel" to provide transportation and guiding along our way.
